		<description>Hey, here in America, we like capitalism.  Good for Simon Cowell.  As for the love of my life, Hugh Laurie, I know he got a nice raise (up to what WE in the U.S. call $300,000 an episode) after the show became a big success.  Considering the usual way tv contracts are written, I would expect he&#039;s contracted for 5 years, and so I would expect him to get a really whopping salary increase (pay rise?) to re-enlist for a couple more years.  Heck, I think a lot of his fans would chip in to pay his salary themselves.  He works really hard, and deserves every penny.</description>
